Território V

Description

Teatro São João hosts the premiere of the show that brings to a close the fifth edition of the Território programme. Created by Estúdios Victor Córdon, it provides twelve young dancers from Portuguese Dance schools with training from two internationally-recognised choreographers. In this edition, they are Catalan choreographer Marcos Morau, founder of the La Veronal dance company, and, from Canada, Dorotea Saykaly, who in 2021 was the first recipient of the Emily Molnar Emerging Choreographer Award. Sara Bernardo directed the short film included in the show, in the quality of winner of the Território | Estúdios Victor Córdon Prize for Best Portuguese Director at InShadow – Lisbon ScreenDance Festival 2021. This programme brings its participants into close contact with the aesthetic diversity of contemporary dance, allowing them to develop a plural outlook that will help them clarify their respective artistic futures.
