Fimpografias

In Fimpografias [ Fimpographs ], Susana Neves guides us through ten years (2010-20) in the history of FIMP – Porto International Puppet Festival, a period marked by her collaboration with the event. Throughout her twenty-year career as a stage photographer of theatre, music and performance art shows, she has been paying special attention to the uniqueness of puppetry and other unclassifiable art forms. This exhibition/journey revisits a rich photographic collection, where characters, objects and other animated forms dialogue in a narration that eludes the linearity of time. A peculiar delicateness emanates from the selected photographs. Like a puppeteer who manipulates bodies, objects, space and light without touching them, Susana Neves creates, in a fraction of a second, images that demand the touch and full commitment of our gaze.
