Sinopse do evento
“We began by isolating a line from a song, like laboratory technicians isolate an essential particle in order to illuminate the complexity of a whole.” The song, by José Mário Branco, is titled Inquietação and the line is this: “Há sempre qualquer coisa que está pra acontecer” [“There’s always something about to happen”]. The new choreography by Victor Hugo Pontes makes use of all senses and meanings to create a piece that demands absolute freedom, turning a group of naked bodies into an irrepressible and infectious collective physical mass. An unclothed dance ensemble, free to explore all that moves, frightens, threatens, transforms, conditions and, first and foremost, frees us. In Há Qualquer Coisa Prestes a Acontecer [There’s Something About to Happen], the body symbolises that greater freedom, the major sign on the stage. After all, “there’s only restlessness, restlessness inside us”.
