Sinopse do evento

What do the conventions of gore horror films have in common with the rise of the far right and the threat of new populisms in Portugal and all over the world? The answer can probably be found in Crocodile Club, the new creation of Teatro Oficina, written and directed by Mickaël de Oliveira. Based on a series of disturbing situations that occur during a weekend outing among friends, the show reflects on manipulation, fear and the limits of democracy, besides other essential features of our life as a community, such as mass culture, moral conservatism, the role of the media and racism as an electoral weapon. A production of Teatro Oficina and Colectivo 84, Crocodile Club continues Mickaël de Oliveira’s work on the universe of the fantastic, in the wake of Festa de 15 Anos, which premiered at Teatro Carlos Alberto in 2020.
