Sinopse do evento

What does a theatre building show? What does it conceal? “A place is never simply defined by what you see, but by the stories it keeps, the people it records, and the futures it envisages.” We return to the Teatro São João’s Lugares Invisíveis [Invisible Places], originally premiered in 2024. The actor and stage director Nuno Preto and the dancer and creator Daniela Cruz bring us a show that is also a tour of the theatre’s reverse, through “doors that lead to other doors, seemingly endless stairs, voices that suddenly appear”, like when a friendly ghost speaks to us in the former bar. This guided tour that turns the memories of a place into fiction also includes talking posters that recite sentences from the shows in the entrance hall or, at the Grand Hall, a rather special minuet that takes us away in a time capsule. Aimed at children and teens, Lugares Invisíveis turns the São João building into a box of surprises, a labyrinth of possibilities: “How many would you like?”
