As Escolas Artísticas no TNSJ

Every year, as we close a season, we take a look at the future. Our Art Schools at the TNSJ programme provides a stage to the final-year projects and tests of students from various Porto art schools. The shows created by the final-year Theatre students of ESMAE and ACE incorporate all theatrical techniques (performance, scenography, costumes, light, sound, stage direction and production) into an experimental exercise that give practical use to a whole course of study. The final-year public presentations created by the Dramatic Arts/Actor Training students of Universidade Lusófona do Porto and Theatre students of ESAP offer opportunities for them to immerse themselves into a professional atmosphere, thus favouring their future professional integration. In the first public showing of the skills they have amassed over three years, the final-year Dance and Theatre students of Balleteatro will present their Professional Aptitude Tests. The result of the students’ personal artistic projects, these tests are the culmination of their creative research and exploration of new scenic and performative approaches.
