Conceived by Estúdios Victor Córdon, the Território programme features several internationally renowned choreographers; its sixth edition showcases Sol León & Paul Lightfoot and Douglas Lee. Former dancers León & Lightfoot began working as a choreographic duo in 1989; they created more than 60 shows for the Nederlands Dans Theater. As a dancer, Douglas Lee worked at the Royal Ballet School and at the Stuttgart Ballet, where he began choreographing, eventually launching a widely acclaimed career as a freelance choreographer. Twelve young dancers from various Portuguese schools will have the opportunity to share the aesthetic wisdom of these choreographers, in a vocational experience that will diversify and enrich their mindsets. Território VI includes the short film that won the Território | Estúdios Victor Córdon prize for Best Portuguese Director at InShadow – Lisbon ScreenDance Festival 2022.
