Dramatised Readings

Description

In these 3-hour sessions, which will take place in a rehearsal room of the Theatre or School, basic and secondary students dramatise a theatre play or some other text included in their study programme and the National Reading Plan. Adolfo Coelho’s Contos Populares Portugueses (2nd grade), António Torrado’s Teatro às Três Pancadas, Manuel António Pina’s Os Piratas (6th grade) or António Gedeão’s Breve História da Lua (8th grade), Gil Vicente’s A Farsa de Inês Pereira (10th grade) or Almeida Garrett’s Frei Luís de Sousa (11th grade) are some of the texts that have been dramatised. Conceived by actor and stage director Nuno M Cardoso, these Dramatised Readings are performed by the students themselves.
