Description
The 45th FITEI – International Theatre Festival of Iberian Expression invites us to “imagine the future”. Fecundação e Alívio neste Chão Irredutível onde com Gozo me Insurjo [Fecundation and Relief on this Irreducible Ground Where I Pleasurably Rebel] pursues Hugo Calhim Cristóvão & Joana von Mayer Trindade’s choreographic research. The two authors use as their starting-point Bruno Latour’s philosophical concept of irreduction, confronting it with Ana Hatherly’s experimental oeuvre. The stage is the ground whence emerges a rebellious dance that “twists the materials, remaking and recombining them”, thus liberating pleasure.
