Description
Drama is as old as humankind, but it was in Greece that it became the solid institution of the theatre, as we know it today. Between October and December, our U-18 and U-88 Drama Clubs will return to that source, in connection with the show So That the Winds May Rise: An Oresteia. The Clubs’ members are challenged to explore the intimate lives of characters in Greek tragedies. In the private space, the masks are dropped. What went through Medea’s mind before she killed her children? Why did Agamemnon sacrifice Iphigenia? How do we look at their actions and desires, more than two thousand years later? We have created a space for research and experimentation, in order to help each participant construct their personal actor’s path towards their chosen character.
