Rasto

De Volta à Praça [Back to the Square] is the “street entertainer” project that brings together Teatro Nacional São João and Coliseu do Porto Ageas, as well as several municipalities of Northern Portugal. Three shows – the Coliseu do Porto’s Circus and two more or less circus-like projects by Porto companies in co-production with the TNSJ – will premiere in Porto, circus-lating then across Terras de Basto, Arcos de Valdevez, Marco de Canaveses, Cinfães, Paços de Ferreira and Santo Tirso, after which they will return and occupy several Porto squares, marking the start of a new season. Companhia Erva Daninha brings us Rasto, a production somewhere between dance and acrobatics that looks at the relationship between body and machine, as well as the inextricable ties between city and country. Each performance will be accompanied by circus and puppetry workshops, conceived to explore the stories and oral traditions of each region encompassed by this itinerant project.
