Description
The shows that make up the 32nd Porto International Puppet Festival (FIMP) rethink the art of puppetry while contemplating our role in the world. In Big Bears Cry Too, the first creation by the Belgian artist Miet Warlop to be aimed at children, the stage is a playground where a number of creature-objects search for their individuality: an impatient and somewhat dysfunctional plastic heart, a giant pill that fails to provide the expected effects, and a teddy bear who falls victim to his own cuteness. Laughter and tears punctuate a strange universe that lays bare our vulnerability.
