Under the protocol signed by the Centro Cultural de Belém Foundation and the Teatro Nacional São João, the theatre comes to us in portable form as a series of three shows followed by informal talks, in a programme curated by CCB/Fábrica das Artes. Drawing inspiration from Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass, the programme aims at combining artistic creations for children with philosophy, bringing the challenges and valencies that emerge out of this into creative play. In Alice’s world, imagination is boundless. The three Alicean portable shows playfully explore it, reinforcing it in a series of post-show dialogues mediated by the actors. The first show, Não Me Calo will arrive at the beginning of the year; the second pair, Dois Ovos Irmãos: Trambolhões e Jigajogas and Quem És Tu?, until the season’s closure, celebrating in June the World Children’s Day. Digital content on each show will also be available to schools. Imagination is a portable commodity; we can take it everywhere.
